a font made with FontForge
https://fontforge.org

todo:
- letters start on the baseline (not the descender)
- there are no symbols
- there could be variable letters? (e.g., first variation as uppercase, second as lower)
- M and N have been simplified as they were too complex (too large a filesize) when auto-traced by FontForge. They were traced with
potrace -s M1.bmp -t 10 -a 1 -O 1andpotrace -s N1.bmp -t 15 -O 2
notes on texture
most blocky fonts do not have a lot of white, and some are all black. One can open an all-black font in Photoshop/Illustrator/Gimp/etc and apply a mask/pattern that looks like "print speckling", instead of trying to build it into the font
some fonts with some light speckling from printing:

scripts
transform .png images to .bmp for tracing:
rm -rf images_bmp
mkdir images_bmp
while read -r image; do
bn="${image##*/}"
echo "${bn}"
fn="images_bmp/${bn%.*}.bmp"
convert "${image}" "${fn}"
done <<< $(find images -type f -name "*.png" -not -name "*all*" | sort)
# for some reason "?.png" makes thing go weird. manually update with
mv "images_bmp/.1-0.bmp" 'images_bmp/?.bmp'
rm "images_bmp/.1-"*".bmp"
